IFRI Tours to visit the Sahara from Fes to Marrakesh Via Taroudant Sahara Itinerary is a great way to experience the Most of southern Morocco. Including camel trek from fez in Erg Chebbi, see the cedar forests and monkeys (Barbay apes), enjoying the Ziz gorge and Valley, camel trek in Erg Chebbi dunes with a local desert guide (camel man) to watch the sunset and sunrise in the next morning, dine under the stars and listen to drums music and spending a night in a nomad tented camp. The first thing a visitor will notice is the pentagon-shaped fortified wall that encircles the city. The Taroudant historical wall is the oldest wall in Morocco and the third most robust in the world, according to historian A. Hermas, after the Great Wall of China.

IFRI Tours - PROGRAM DETAILS:
Day 1: Fez - Merzouga

The first day of 7 Days Fez Taroudant Essaouira Marrakech tour trip, will start at 8 O’clock in the morning, toward the middle Atlas famous cedar forest to see Barbary apes of Azou, then to the Apple capital of Midelt, to have lunch at the peak of the Ayachi mountain. We will continue to the Bivouac at Erg Chebbi dunes, crossing by Tizi-N-Talghemt pass, the Ziz valley (known for its palm trees and the length of the oasis), multiple Ksars and small villages of individual houses, Errachidia, and Erfoud ( known for the fossils and the date festival). At Erg Chebbi, you will be welcomed by a glass of Moroccan mint tea, to have a great moment observing the beauty of the place, have dinner while listening to the music played by Berbers, and then spend a night in the nomad yurts.

Day 2: Merzouga - Todra Gorges

Try to wake up early, if you like to see the morning sunrise, or you want to experience the magnificent scenery of the sun shadows at the Sahara desert dunes. After having breakfast, we will ride our camels to the hotel to have a shower, and get prepared to drive toward Todra Gorges, for another day of beauty and calm. We will pass by Erfoud, Tinejdad, Tinghir to have a break for lunch, then we will continue to observe the stunning views crossing the road, take photos and just have fun. Arriving at the marvelous canyons of Todra Gorges, to have dinner, and spend a night there.

Day 3: Todra Gorges - Zagora

We will go south after having breakfast, to Saghro mountain, then N’Qob village to have lunch. We will continue, to Dar’a valley, and Tansikht Ighrem, toward Zagora. Along the road, you will observe beautiful views of the Daraa river, the mountains, gardens, and Kasbahs. At the Bivouac of Erg Chebbi Dunes, you will have an amusing camel ride, then dinner in the nomad yurts.

Day 4: Zagora - Ouarzazate

Try to wake up early, if you wish to see a stunning scenery of the sun rising over the dunes. From here and after taking your breakfast, we will drive to another part of the desert, toward Ouarzazate to spend the night there. Along the road, we will pass by the Iriqui lake, the mountains, fossils, and Foum Zguid where we are going to have lunch. Then, we will continue to the north, beyond the hills and the oasis of palm trees, until Taznakht to have dinner, which is a small Berber town, famous for its gelims and rugs.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - Taroudant

We will drive for about 35km from Ouarzazate to “Ait Ben Haddou” Kasbah, which was built in the 11th century, and which was once a prior caravan route across the Sahara desert and Marrakesh. It is located on a hill along with the Ounila river, in a time where many part of it are completely damaged as a consequence of rainstorms and windstorms, it still the famous one in Morocco. Just a few people, around five families are still living around the Kasbah, whereas the other inhabitants are currently moved to a more modern village. Then, we will continue to check in a hotel at Taroudant.

Day 6: Taroudant – Essaouira

We will explore the town of Taroudant, which sometimes called “The little Marrakesh”, this town is spectacular for the beauty of its Medina and its massive ramparts.You will also visit the Argane gloves, at Souss river valley, then The Paradise Valley in our 7 Days Fez Taroudant Essaouira Marrakech tour. Along the road, we will pass by Taghzout, and through the mountains, to reach Essaouira. Before heading to a hotel to spend the night there, we will have few hours to explore the town, Scala the kasbah, and the Medina, where we will have a walk to multiple shops, as well as visiting the seafront with all its fresh fish restaurants.

Day 7: Essaouira - marrakech

We will explore the town of Taroudant, which sometimes called “The little Marrakesh”, this town is spectacular for the beauty of its Medina and its massive ramparts.You will also visit the Argane gloves, at Souss river valley, then The Paradise Valley in our 7 Days Fez Taroudant Essaouira Marrakech tour. Along the road, we will pass by Taghzout, and through the mountains, to reach Essaouira. Before heading to a hotel to spend the night there, we will have few hours to explore the town, Scala the kasbah, and the Medina, where we will have a walk to multiple shops, as well as visiting the seafront with all its fresh fish restaurants.
